Retained Amount is an API feature of the Fortis gateway. It allows an ISV to set a designated amount, of their choice, per transaction that is withheld from the merchant’s deposit. This amount is then set aside in a Fortis Reserve account (FBO2) and paid out monthly to the ISV with residuals.
